Other than Alex Oriakhi and Jeremy Lamb for UConn the shooting was atrocious on both sides. UConn shot 34.5% from the floor while Butler could only manage 18.8% shooting.
Oriakhi was 5-6 from the floor, 1-1 from the foul line scoring 11 points. He also had 4 blocked shots and 11 rebounds in 25 min. of play. He apparently got into the head of the Butler players as they didn't score inside the paint until 6 min. left in the game. I consider Oriakhi the star of the game.
Lamb didn't score in the first half due to sitting out half of it with foul trouble. for the game he was 4-8 from the floor, 3-4 from the foul line scoring 12 points and dragging in 7 rebounds.
Walker shot 5-19 from the floor, 6-7 from the foul line, scoring 16 points while grabbing 9 rebounds.
Tied a record with 10 blocked shots for the game.
Butler couldn't put the ball in the hole during the entire game shooting an NCAA record low of 18.8% from the floor.

Congratulations to Jim Calhoun and the UConn Huskies. That's three national titles for the men since 1999. Too bad the Huskie women got knocked out yesterday. I don't think any school has won both titles in the same year. Ironically the men weren't expected to get there, but the women were.
